A statue of Saint Mary as she appeared to the children in her apparition at Fatima. This statue is at the National Shrine Grotto to Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg, MD (on Mount St. Mary’s University campus).
These birds make a call that sounds like the mew of a kitten. This particular catbird stopped in it’s flight to pose for me momentarily before fluttering off into the bushes. I have a great number of bird images for the Ornithologist in your life.
This contemplative little Dark Eyed Junco is trying to determine if this brown blade of cut grass is in fact, a seed of some description. Dark Eyed Juncos are some of my favorite birds.
I love to create macro images - and this orchid’s beautiful magenta and green coloring was so striking against the back lighting.
